A home can tell a story and we're able to investigate your home and interpret the conditions we find so that you have a comprehensive understanding about your home's condition.Home Inspections are "visual" inspections meaning that we inspect and investigate your home visually to determine its current condition at the time of the inspection. We do no destructive testing.The BUILDING ENVELOPE: On the Oregon Coast, the exterior of a building is one of the most important systems in protecting your family from the wind and rain that are routinely part of the coastal environmental experience. BUILDING STRUCTURE: The "bones" of a home are literally what holds a home together. The foundation, crawlspace or basement, floor structure, wall framing, attic and roof structure are important to understand a homes long term viability. We will investigate how the home is made and to determine the condition of those components.HOME INTERIOR: We take a look at the walls and ceilings, the bathrooms, and kitchen, We operate windows and doors checking for how they fit. We look for moisture intrusion indicators and for signs of stress in the structure. MECHANICAL & ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS: The water supply and waste removal systems are inspected in the crawlspace, basement and attic as well in bathrooms and kitchens. Furnace and air conditioners are operated and the components examined. Electrical panels are opened and inspected. Electrical receptacles are tested.
