ECSSA has been established as a professional Society intended to represent the interests of the pre-hospital emergency care profession in South Africa. The organisation aims to support the growth and development of EM(R)S personnel from BLS level right through to ECP level. Although the organisation was founded in 2009, the current Board of Directors has recently embarked on an extensive strategic planning process to provide the Society with clearer purpose and definition. Those with an interest in the South African Emergency Medical Care and Rescue Environment are encouraged to follow our page and subscribe as members of the Society.
