Emergency Performance Inc. (www.nfors.org) is a non-profit organization with a mission to support and empower the fire and EMS industry through data and performance improvement. Founded in collaboration with leaders from the fire and EMS industry with over 100 years of collective experience, Emergency Performance Inc., believes local fire and EMS services can best reach their potential through standardized data collection, analysis, and ongoing application. Emergency Performance Inc. is located in North Carolina, offering assistance to Fire Departments and EMS Agencies nationally within all 50 states and 6 territories. Emergency Performance Inc. Empowering Fire and EMS Current Initiatives: Emergency Performance Inc. is currently funded to design, develop, and implement a National Fire Operations Reporting System (NFORS). The goal of NFORS (www.NFORS.org) is to empower local FDs to measure and optimize their response availability, capability, and the effectiveness of their on-scene performance. The use of an standardized data system with a performance improvement program can better assure adequate fire resources, optimize fire operations, reduce firefighter injury and death, minimize civilian injury and death, and minimize property loss. The NFORS Project is funded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA), Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program.
