Public Safety - Belmont, VIC, AU
EPESA was established to improve public preparedness for natural or man made emergency situations. All businesses should have an emergency plan to deal with identified emergency risks. EPESA offers a service to business to help develop new plans or review those that currently exist. Emergency plans are based on the requirements of AS3745 'Planning for emergencies in facilities' and AS4083 'Planning for emergencies - Health care facilities'. We work with nominated stakeholders from within the business and emergency services to ensure that plans are fully integrated and reflect the shared responsibility for emergency management. We can assist businesses with the establishment and training of Emergency Planning Committees and Emergency Control Organisations.Training of employees is essential once a plan is established to ensure that roles and responsibilities are understood. Exercising of plans is a key requirement to ensure that procedures can followed and to build confidence in people when confronted with stressful situations. Exercises are also important to test the crisis arrangements in a business. Proper planning, training and exercising will improve business and staff resilience and will assist in returning to business as usual in a timely manner. EPESA works across small to large organisations including commercial, manufacturing, health, entertainment, education and accommodation.EPESA staff are qualified and have a combined total of over 100 years of experience in a range of emergency service agencies and in the private sector. All staff have experienced what it is like on the coal face and in senior incident management roles at emergencies. We also understand the requirements and importance of a shared responsibility in emergency management.
