The Emerging Workforce Initiative, Inc. builds the capacity of communities, schools, and families to prepare all youth and young adults for the 21st century workforce by: 1. Understanding the systematic and personal issues that impede "opportunity youth" 2. Identifying effective strategies that address these issues 3. Developing programs, tools, linkages, funding and other resources needed to implement these strategies Founded in 2009, the Initiative is a nonprofit 501c3 tax exempt organization led by a volunteer board of directors.
