Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL) in the Middle East, is the newest and largest facility for undertaking product fire testing and conformity assessment certification, operating across the GCC, greater Middle East, North Africa and the Sub-continent, assisting manufacturers, construction contractors, consultants and advisory in achieving the product certification and market entry into the greater region for Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) product registration and approvals. ESL carry various international accreditations and has collaborated with European entities to offer our valued customers access to CE and UKCA marking for market entry into the European Union single market. ESL undertake testing to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Fire and Life Safety Code Manual of Practice, the North American Standards (ASTM, UL, ULC, NFPA, ANSI, etc.), British Standards, International Standards Organisation (ISO), European Norms (EN) and various other globally recognised international standards.
