Market gardens often establish sales relationships with local restaurants, stores, and consumers. They are typically operated at much smaller scales than average farms. We envision a market garden in Cully creating opportunities for neighbor-farmers to sell the produce they grow in several ways, such as: - fresh: produce such as tomatoes, herbs, berries, and hazelnuts could be sold to local restaurants and stores or marketed at a farm stand or farmer's market. - processed: produce could be processed into "value-added" products such as all-natural sauces, salsas, jams, preserves, spreads, and pastes for sale as above. - cut: native blooms could be cut and arranged for sale at a farm stand or farmer's market.
