EMMAT is a contemporary music college that was founded in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2007 by several Berklee College of Music graduates. Its associate degree in contemporary music (four semesters) is fully articulated with Berklee College of Music. The school also offers a diploma in sound and music production, among other programs, in its new seven-story building.EMMAT is a great option for local and international students interested in contemporary music, music production, and contemporary composition because of its outstanding teachers, who are active members of the music industry. EMMAT has recently moved into a new seven-story building that was specially designed for teaching our programs. EMMAT has a credit transfer agreement with Berklee and several other Berklee Global partners, and with other local and international institutions.Recording studio at EMMATEMMAT alumni have demonstrated their talent and preparation at events like the Latin Grammys, with recent nominations; the Berklee auditions in Colombia, obtaining scholarships every year; and national and international tours with Colombian bands. Those who are currently abroad by means of our articulation agreements have reported successful experiences. Another highlight of our school is a friendly environment that fosters collaboration among students of different programs and semesters, often with the support and participation of our teachers. This is why new projects are born every semester and are showcased in our concerts, high school tours, and in a weekly radio program. Students also benefit from our extracurricular agenda of workshops, master classes, concerts, and networking events.
