Empower McGill: Embracing Disabilities in Business Conference is a McGill University initiative to promote and highlight the benefits and opportunities of disability inclusion in the workplace. Recognizing the capabilities of all individuals, the conference strives to break down barriers that are set intrinsically by individuals themselves, and extrinsically in the work environment. In doing so, we aim to build an event that is inclusive, diverse, and accessible to all. By redefining perceptions associated with disabilities, this conference will empower individuals to build confidence and understanding by giving them the tools and information to build successful results in business. While recognizing the positive relationship between a diverse workforce and the overall success of a business, this conference acts to highlight the mutual benefits that can be attained through the development of an environment that adopts a respectful and proactive attitude towards diversity inclusion in the workplace.
