Empowering Epilepsy is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization focused on enabling people with epilepsy to take charge of their lives. We strive to create a caring community in Northeast Ohio to help enrich the lives of those who have experienced seizures and positively focus on their mind, body, spirit and life. We hold free monthly virtual support groups with restorative yoga, along with free monthly age based virtual support groups that allow people with epilepsy and their families to meet others who understand epilepsy, learn strategies to manage their seizures, and make new friends. Annually, we have an Empower Your Life Conference with speakers who are some of the top epilepsy specialists in the country discussing ways to live well with seizures. We also focus on better educating the general public about epilepsy and seizures by having educational booths at over 30 health and wellness fairs in Northeast Ohio.We hold two fundraisers throughout the year that include our Gunselman's Tavern Leprechaun Chase 5K in Fairview Park, Ohio and our Cleveland Marathon Empowering Epilepsy Purple Pacers Team in May.Our main goal is to show people with epilepsy that they are not alone and help them discover what they can do to empower their life.
