Enactus Christ is an organization of students using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better and more sustainable world. The main purpose is to make a difference in the lives of communities while simultaneously developing their skills so that they become more socially responsible business leaders.The Enactus team of CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is one of the most active teams in India where students develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living of the community in need.We at Enactus Christ are currently working on 2 projects:1) Project Aatman - Our objective is to provide rural women with sustainable and cost-effective sanitary napkins and influence them to inculcate habits of developing menstrual hygiene. We aim at making our sanitary napkins 100% bio-degradable to provide further protection to them. We will also conduct awareness and education campaigns, for the people in rural and developing areas, to educate them about the consequences of using unsanitary alternatives like cloth, ashes, sand etc. We also intend on breaking the prevailing stigma around periods through our awareness campaigns.2) Project Street'o'preneur - We aim at organising the community of street vendors by bringing them together as a single co-operative body. Through a training program created by the academia, they learn to solve their issues from an entrepreneurial point of view and grow their businesses by making use of opportunities & finding solutions. The scaling of their businesses and networks creates additional sources of revenue and micro-finances. This could be reinvested in their businesses to make them lead the Cheap Retail ecosystem.The project also intends to bring vendors onto an online platform via a multilingual application which will enable them to manage their own branding and gain access to real-time statistics which can strengthen their customer base and supplier interactions within the ecosystem. Business development through this Entrepreneurial Program will bring growth in terms of designation, team size, and revenues.
