"Sustainable Development is the peace policy of the future."We at Enactus Shasun pride ourselves on being able to adventure along with most vital purpose of Enactus. We constantly work on executing projects keeping in mind the masterful balance between finding solutions for our current issues, without jeopardizing future generation's ability to do so.With that goal driving our multi-talented and diverse team, we have taken up and executed a number of projects! A few of our earlier endeavors include, ‘Nirman', a Biogas initiative we set up in our college campus to create awareness on sustainable waste management. Project Stree Shakthi is an initiative to financially empower rural women and create livelihood opportunities for them. It provides a regular income stream for their families. The women in the village were trained on stitching mats, pillows, and other materials. Also ‘E-Kranti' is based on fun and educational sessions with the kids in Kaliyanur village by providing skills and confidence of the educator in appropriate and effective use of digital technology to support learning and teaching.Our current few projects are initiatives taken during the lockdown, and undoubtedly practice all the precautionary measures needed during these times. Project Nirvam aims at providing free mental health support to the Covid 19 affected communities by collaborating with Tamilnadu Open University. The team has successfully provided Counseling sessions and has also conducted 3 episodes of our Psych central webinar series on mental health with 200+ participants per episode. In Project Uthaan, Enactus Shasun collaborated with the Actionaid India team to help the NGO with the COVID 19 relief. Last but not least, our Uravu campaign is a joint initiative with the Uravu organization in Wayanad. No matter what hurdles come towards our way, Team Enactus Shasun will keep striving towards making a difference.
