Rape culture is the pervasive normalization and trivialization of sexual violence in society. Every 98 seconds, someone in America is sexually assaulted. End Rape Culture (ERC) is a non-profit organization which was created to prevent sexual assault and empower survivors of such vicious crimes. Its mission is to dismantle damaging societal constructs that contribute to the normalization of sexual violence in America. This end is achieved by raising awareness, providing innovative educational programming and empowering survivors through self-defense classes and monthly support groups.
