Energy Capital of the Future was founded by Kevin Doffing as he sought to advocate and lead in Houston's energy transition. Since our founding, the company has provided market intelligence reporting for startups and companies leaning into the energy transition. As well as, commercialization training and go-to-market strategy development for companies just getting started. Along the way our firm has contributed to the founding of the Renewable Energy Alliance, Houston's first renewable energy trade group, developed a wind technician training program with Houston Community College, launched the Veterans Energy Project to advocate for government investments into infrastructure, and support several startup accelerators including the Ion Smart & Resilient Cities Accelerator, the Rice Clean Energy Accelerator, and the WeWork Veterans in Residence powered by Bunker Labs.
