Energy Crossroads became a truly global movement in August of 2007, as a result of collaboration between student groups in Denmark Technical University, Copenhagen University, and students from Energy Crossroads at Stanford University, the original Energy Crossroads chapter. The Danish chapter of Energy Crossroads has been actively planning for the events surrounding the UN Climate Summit (COP15), which will take place in Copenhagen in December of 2009. In anticipation of the main event, Energy Crossroads is hosting a range of activities in Denmark in order to create a community in support of clean energy and to get the word out; youth deserve a more clean, a more secure and a more prosperous futureThe chapter is also actively engaging with student groups in the African region, in order to mobilize the voice and engagement of these less represented countries.
