The Energy from Space Foundation (EFSF) promotes Energy from Space and works on a proposal to launch the first proof-of-concept. The Foundation's mission is to help realize Energy from Space. EFSF provides information and creates international awareness, motivates the public, decision makers, companies, institutes, and academia to get inspired and involved, and take action. The objectives of the EFSF are:- International promotion and stimulation of Energy from Space- Acquire and provide information regarding Energy from Space- Create awareness of and lobbying for the development, realization and sales regarding Energy from Space- Assess the applications, economic feasibilities and implementation strategies of Energy from SpaceEnergy from Space stands for a technology of generating electricity from solar energy using satellites and transporting it to the Earth through radio waves. As a consequence of global energy challenges and technological advance, EFS has been, and currently continues to be, explored by scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs mainly in Japan, the US and Europe. The concept is taken seriously at all space agencies at advanced industrialized nations. Main advantages: independent, large-scale, reliable, clean and safe power. The expected higher costs of EFS compared to conventional energy costs is reasonable compared to these advantages nations get.
