At the high-tech Energy & Health Campus in Petten, world-renowned companies in the field of sustainable energy and nuclear medicine share their knowledge and facilities. In more than ten laboratories, research and tests are conducted with the latest technologies for low-carbon and smart energy systems, energy generation, energy efficiency, safe and green transport and nuclear safety and security in order to make the Netherlands and Europe energy-neutral in 2050.In the field of Health, more than 30,000 people with potentially life-threatening diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular disease, are diagnosed and treated every day with nuclear medicines from Petten. Petten is indispensable for medical isotopes, with a share of 30% worldwide and 70% in Europe for diagnostic agents. This campus is not only of national importance, but of global importance.
