Waste/Recycling/Environmental - Ithaca, NY, US
Energy@Cornell is Cornell University's only undergraduate energy-focused organization. We take driven undergraduates interested in the political, economic or engineering aspects of the Energy Industry, and help them succeed and learn along the way. We hold weekly meetings where a club member makes a brief presentation on a new development in the Energy Industry. After a quick Q&A, members are free to discuss and debate the consequences of the development. A big picture mindset is encouraged, as is individual thinking. The Energy Industry is multifaceted, so are our arguments, presentations, and debates. We have no partisan affiliation, political agenda or predisposition to one type of Energy. Throughout the semester each member creates a project that is presented at the end of the semester. Several notable speakers have spoken at our meetings including petroleum engineering lecturer Iskander Diyashev and Stanford sustainability graduate Don Wood.
