In the world's toughest places, the San Francisco Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-SFP) is partnering with communities to meet their basic human needs. EWB-SFP has 5 active programs helping developing communities worldwide with their engineering needs as well as our ongoing R&D work with ATDT:Vanua Levu Island, Fiji – water sanitation and distribution to stem typhoid outbreakArombe, Kenya – clean water supply – project assessment effortsEl Llanito, Nicaragua – water supply based on existing wellWeledi, Ethiopia – monsoon flood management and structural repairs for local clinic and schoolSanta Rosa de Comunal, Ecuador - water supply and treatment Community Engineering Corps – local projects for under-served or displaced communitiesOur members volunteer their time, energy, and expertise to projects that build the foundation for a community to thrive for years to come.
