English Camp PMI Details

English Summer/ Winter Camp is a charity educational program, organized twice a year by Project Management Institute - Gdańsk Branch (PMI GB) . The first summer edition of this initiative took place in 2004, and in 2010 we started also with winter edition. A group of ca. 35 children aged 9-14 years, coming from Pomeranian region, has a chance to participate in each camp. The main objective of the program is to enable children bringing up the orphanages, foster families and in families with low financial status, participation in the English course. In addition to the daily, three - hour classes with qualified teachers, children participate in numerous workshops, games and activities with volunteers whose aim is to strengthen their self-confidence, improve the ability to cope with stress and lower levels of aggression. ◢ Vision Offering for children from the orphanages of Pomeranian Voivodeship, amazing two-week vacation that will develop their skills and passions! ◢ Mission The camps are for children growing up in orphanages, foster families and families with low financial status. The main goal of the program is to enable children to attend English course, based on the highest quality materials and the best educational practices that aim at:► improving their English,► strengthening the faith in their own abilities (strengthen their self-confidence),► collaboration & cooperation in a group,► cope with stress,► reducing the level of aggression,► learning about other cultures,► stimulation to explore new passions and interests,► project management basics,► showing different culture.Additional Goals:► motivate the children to self-develop,► assure the children that their hard work pays off,► give the children a chance at better start in future life,► project management workshops for the volunteers.See more at: www.english-camp.pl
