Enlighten was created at The Ohio State University and formed with the goal of combating human trafficking and supporting survivors. These goals are being achieved through three primary branches of Enlighten, awareness campaigns and street outreach events that shed light on the realities of human trafficking, street outreach to victims and volunteer work to help them, and legal advocacy related to fair housing for survivors.
