National School of Statistics and Applied Economics (ENSSEA) was created in July 2008 following decree 02-222 on the transformation of the INPS into a non-university school. History: The Institute of Planning Techniques (I.T.P) was created by Decree No. 7 to 109 of July 20, 1970 within the framework of the organization No. 60-106 of December 26, 1969 establishing the Institute of Technology. Its mission was to provide the necessary frameworks for the preparation of national development plans in the field of technology and economic analysis. The name of the institute was changed by Decree 72.133 of July 1972 to that of the Institute of Planning and Applied Economics (I.T.P.E.A). This decree was subsequently amended by Decree No. 83.692 of 26 November 1983, establishing it as the National Institute of Planning and Statistics (I.N.P.S). Its mission is to train senior technicians, state engineers, magisters and state doctors in planning and statistics. It also contributes to the development and implementation of research work in relation with various national and foreign public bodies. The INPS, the only institute in Algeria and one of the few institutions in the field of statistics and applied economics in Africa, was created in 1970 to ensure a very precise mission, namely, to fill the planning bodies of the time. executives capable of effectively carrying out their missions. Since its passage, in 1983, under the tutelage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and adapting to the changes in the national economy, the INPS has set new objectives namely: - Provide quality scientific training incorporating new lessons in statistics and applied economics; - To train high level executives able to intervene in all sectors of the economy.
