Fund-raising - West Hollywood, California, United States
The Alliance is a community of individuals whose passion and artistry represent the now and future of Entertainment + Arts. We invest in the well-being of the individuals who color the fabric of our cultural spirit. As EAA (Entertainment AIDS Alliance) we have distributed over $5.5 million to more than 155 unique beneficiaries dedicated to funding research, treatment services and prevention programs for HIV and AIDS. Our grantees include community-based non-profits serving diverse populations affected by the virus, as well as organizations whose research and thought-leadership have a global effect on the cause. Our name may have changed– and our mission expanded—but our determination to unite our industry for greater good remains the same. Our new name clearly expresses who we are and who we serve. It will help more people understand the collective we aim to build. It will encourage more people to support us in fostering that community. Although our mission has expanded, we remain committed to our founding purpose treating, preventing and eradicating HIV and AIDS.Since our founding in 1989 as Video Industry AIDS Action Committee (VIAAC), our family of supporters has grown from a committed group of Industry professionals to companies and individuals from the Entertainment Industry, its supply chains, and other affiliated service industries. Thanks to their contributions and influence, we continue to drive awareness and funding to stop a growing epidemic as well as other issues that affects millions of adults and children worldwide.EAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We maintains no offices and are run almost entirely by pro bono professionals and volunteers. We want to hear from you. Please contact us.
