A non-profit exposing the role school assignments play in urban sprawl andequipping people with ideas to change the fate of their communities.MISSION/VISION:Our mission is two-fold. We support research on environmental and economic effects of school district lines and spatial sorting, and we also educate citizens on the results of that research. Many families who currently move to the suburbs when their children reach school-age would remain in more diverse and convenient city environments if they had more educational options. By sharing information about spatial sorting, we impact our neighborhoods, cities, and the planet. We accomplish this work through engagement with different media outlets, with college students, and with policy-makers. We also facilitate discussion and questions through our online venues (blog and social media).
