Enzed Exotics is owned by KAMMI Produce, a family-owned and run business into its second generation. Growing Kiwano is a way of life for the Hutchings family, and we take a lot of pride in what we do. This is reflected in the way we care for our fruit, from seedlings right to the final delivery to our customers.Our Kiwano are grown in fields located near the coast in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty region. This lush and fertile environment is just 10 minutes from Te Puke, world famous as the ‘Kiwifruit capital of the world'. Enzed Exotics is Global G.A.P. accredited. This is an internationally recognised set of standards dedicated to safe, sustainable farming.Our annual harvest starts in the New Year, with our first Kiwano typically ready to airfreight or ship in late January/early February.Inside the Kiwano's golden skin is a refreshingly fruity pulp, with a flavour described as a refreshing cross between a banana, a passionfruit and a lime. The Kiwano is full of goodness, and is a good source of magnesium, potassium and fibre as well as being low-calorie. Kiwano is incredibly versatile. Try it fresh as a healthy snack, add an exotic twist to a cocktail, scoop it over ice cream, or use it to add freshness and flavour to salsas, dressings, salads and meats. We'd love to hear from you.
