EPICentre Vision The University of Windsor EPICentre is the centre for entrepreneurial education and opportunity for students, recent graduates and for the Windsor-Essex region, providing collaborative incubation and innovation space for new and existing ventures, mentoring start-ups through collaboration with business and social communities, and prioritizing innovation and technology transfer, job creation, and business sustainability. What we do: In-Class Education, Research: Engagement through in-class education and research performed by professors involved in entrepreneurship. EPICentre has become involved in various disciplines across campus such as Engineering, Business, Law, Fine Arts, English, Music, and Computer Science. Extra-Curricular Involvement: EPICentre offers activities such as a Guest Speaker Series, Start-Up Weekends and Workshops to aid in educating students and sparking their entrepreneurial spirit outside of the classroom. Consulting/Mentoring: EPICentre offers FREE business and legal consulting to students and recent graduates, peer-2-peer consulting, allowing the opportunity to ask a successful entrepreneur from the community any business question. Competitions: Opportunities to participate in various on-and-off-campus entrepreneurial competitions for a chance to win thousands of dollars in start-up funding. EPICentre provides financial support and mentoring to offset travel expenses to compete and win funding for businesses. Mentorship Programs: Students and recent graduates are offered up to $5,000 and the help of a mentor over the course of 4 months, to help start and grow their business. Students or recent graduates can also apply to our incubation program to work on their start-ups.
