Investment Management - Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland
The Epsilon, Westford and SGS Funds are a multi-strategy family of funds founded by Steve Stevanovich in 1997. The initial office was in the United States (Florida) and expanded to Asia (Hong Kong), Europe (Lausanne, Switzerland) and Canada (Toronto). The investors in the Funds are primarily large U.S., European and Asian Institutional Investors - Fortune 500 Company Pension Funds and Insurance Companies. Though the funds employ multiple investment approaches including event-driven and activist strategies, a main focus of the funds has been on distressed situations and restructurings. The funds' manager has extensive experience in bankruptcy litigation (both as plaintiff and defendant), restructuring, and insolvency, which the manager used to identify underperforming businesses and deploy risk capital to bring them back to health. The funds are currently closed and have invested over $6 billion since inception in various investments across numerous market cycles. The current portfolio across the various funds consists primarily of early stage technology companies, mostly acquired via the restructuring process by converting distressed debt into equity via the bankruptcy litigation process. The manager also has deep experienced in the technology commercialization space.
