Equatoria Teak Company (ETC) and Central Equatoria Teak Company (CETC) together make up South Sudan's leading sustainable forestry company, and Africa's second largest teak grower. The group is based in Nzara, Western Equatoria State, with a second location in Lainya County, Central Equatoria State. The company has concession rights over more than 3,500ha of mature teak plantations and an additional 73,000ha of forestry concession, which is not planted.ETC has built a new sawmill in Nzara and is harvesting, milling and exporting teak products to international markets; the company has a nursery and silviculture programme that it is looking to strengthen.
