Many individuals, as we hear too often, are either simply dismissed, with no investigations offered, or prescribed inappropriate medication e.g. anti depressants or sedatives.The move away from synthetic HRT both by GP's and patients, as a result of well documented risk factors, means there is a huge need for a safe alternative.What are the options?Patients do not need to suffer the symptoms of peri-menopause, menopause and andropause and deprive themselves of the disease preventative effects that hormones give them e.g. protecting their bodies from osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and cancer.Bio identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) has been widely used in the US, Europe and Australia it has a well-documented efficacy and safety record. In the UK there is also increasing interest in BHRT. Therefore, realising the need to give patients the choice of BHRT treatments, we set up a private pro-choice hormone and menopause clinic dedicated to improving the health and well-being of men and women.We aim to alleviate symptoms by supplementing hormone deficiencies using a therapeutic plan utilising Bio identical hormones derived from plant based sterols such as soy and yam, rebalancing hormones that are depleted safely and effectively. We use baseline testing and a comprehensive patient evaluation form, to give every patient an optimal treatment plan.We work alongside our experienced pharmacy, who provide BHRT education and ongoing support to our GPs, a wide range of products depending on patient needs, patient advice, counselling, symptom monitoring and support.
