Equipability aims to equip and provide services to tourist, hospitality and recreation facilities enabling them to comprehensively and adequately cater for all people with disabilities and special needs assisting them to function independently and with dignity. Equipability was founded in December of 2012 by Irene Kessaris.. Her passion for assisting people with special needs arose from personal experience of travel in Australia and overseas with her wheelchair bound son. She knows how difficult it can be. Planning travel to suit a disabled person is challenging but Irene was able to overcome these challenges and enjoyed travel. As a consequence Equipability Pty. Ltd. was established to provide special needs consulting services for tourist industry as well as for disabled travellers and their companions and carers. Equipability can assist the tourism and recreation industry with advice on how to prepare for appropriate accommodation and access areas for the disabled and as required supply the necessary equipment to adequately cater for their needs. We provide accurate advice and direction for tourism destinations with accommodation options that are correctly equipped for people with special needs. Equipability is a company that works closely with Tourist and Recreation organisations and as consultants and secondary advisors. We are committed to providing accurate advice and solutions to increase the opportunities for people with a disability.
