Black entrepreneurs have undeniably faced tremendous headwinds when seeking funding to startup and build businesses.According to Project Diane, since 2009, Black women–led startups have raised $289MM in venture/angel funding. This represents .0006% of the $424.7 billion in total tech venture funding raised since 2009. Simply put, for every $100,000 in venture funds raised, $60 went to black women-led startups.Equity Drive is obsessed with assisting black entrepreneurs in building successful, well managed and highly profitable businesses of significant value and make a positive impact on the communities we serve.For too long, access to capital for minority entrepreneurs have been limited, in many cases nonexistent. Black entrepreneurs possess the talent, ambition, experience, discipline, passion, work ethic, creativity, competitiveness, people skills, determination, and confidence. The missing, critical component is access to financial resourcesEquity Drive will bring its experience, unique perspective and network to the businesses and programs it funds, including its network of companies, operators, and investors to connect entrepreneurs with resources they otherwise would not have access to.
