Museums - Eromanga, QLD, AU
The development of The Eromanga Natural History Museum (ENHM) through the governing body, the Outback Gondwana Foundation (OGF), is committed to discovering, conserving and showcasing the natural and cultural heritage from the past and present environments of the upper Murray/Darling and Lake Eyre/Cooper basins. This regionally-based, locally-run, scientifically-focused and trained, not-for-profit organisation has spearheaded numerous investigations of sites in South West Queensland. These sites are of major natural and cultural heritage importance to the nation and include new faunal and floral fossil deposits within Mesozoic and Cenozoic-aged rocks, which also include dinosaurs and megafauna. The organisation has also documented and discovered new and rare species of living invertebrates.
