Erqole's history began a few years ago when, while the Jonsson family was seeking a summer residence, they discovered and fell deeply in love with Monte Argentario. Inspired by the beauty of this area and their desire give back to such a unique destination, the Jonsson family began searching for the right place to fulfil their dream. A few years later, they struck gold as they came across a disused sardine factory, formerly run by Cirio, located only a stone's throw away from the docks in Porto Ercole: a location with incredible potential. What began as a small project, soon evolved into something more ambitious. The family purchased other nearby facilities, driven by the desire to make Porto Ercole a unique destination where the authenticity of the Maremma region can be enjoyed.
