ESC Entertainment was formed in March 2001 for the purpose of creating groundbreaking visual effects for feature films. Based in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, ESC was awarded the signature visual effects sequences for THE MATRIX Sequels: "THE MATRIX: Reloaded" and "THE MATRIX: Revolutions". Since it's founding, ESC has been able to consistently attract some of the most talented visual effects professionals in the industry. The group of employees who started ESC joined from the visual effects facility that created the Academy Award®-winning visual effects for the original MATRIX film, and included several recipients of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences certificates for Technical Achievement. ESC's staff also includes the team that created the revolutionary "bullet time" effect from the original MATRIX film. In 2003, ESC delivered signature visual effects sequences for "THE MATRIX: Reloaded" & "THE MATRIX: Revolutions" including the Freeway Chase, Burly Brawl, Trinity Falls, Sentinel Reveal; the Siege sequences, featuring shots such as The Hand of God, Mifune Rallys Corp, Mifune's Last Stand, Zion Under Siege, the Super Burly Brawl and the signature Super Punch. In 2004, ESC delivered Joel and Ethan Coen's "The Ladykillers" staring Academy Award®-winner Tom Hanks, to be released in March of '04 in addition to Catwoman with Halle Berry, and Constantine starring Keanu Reeves.
