ESD Global is a non-profit organization established in 2017 in the United States of America. Its mission is to establish Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) as a key violence prevention strategy globally for women and marginalized populations. ESD is a comprehensive, research based and holistic method of violence resistance education. ESD Global recognizes that violence against women happens on a continuum of gender-based discrimination and inequality, therefore the trainings are tailored on the social and cultural dynamics specific to violence perpetrated against women and marginalized communities.This 2021, ESD Global's mission is to establish Empowerment Self Defense as a key primary violence prevention strategy for women and vulnerable populations in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
