Based upon research from Newcastle University, a leading UK centre of dementia research. ESPDx has developed blood and CSF tests based upon the measurement of biomarkers of neurodegenerative disease found in extracellular vesicles. Our tests provide high sensitivity and accuracy and enable early, pre-symptomatic detection of neurological disorders such as Parkinson's, Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Alzheimers. While existing methods often rely upon expensive and complex techniques, and lack accuracy, the ESP test is simple, rapid and cost-effective and can be performed on standard laboratory equipment. We provide assay services to pharma and biotech companies developing disease-modifying therapies, and are developing IVD products for patients, clinicians and healthcare providers worldwide.
