e::space is a membership-based electronics design accelerator created to support electronic hardware development in Central Oregon, providing tools, education and guidance to high-tech start-ups, entrepreneurs and corporations. Resources for entrepreneurial startup ventures requiring engineering related resources, with electronic and electromechanical prototyping and product development. e::space will accelerate product development opportunities in Central Oregon by creating a co-working space designed to provide advanced test equipment and engineering services. An enabling business idea to bring new investment opportunities in the high-tech hardware-based space to Central Oregon. Central Oregon has a great head start on high-tech opportunities in the cyberspace sector. Additional acceleration is needed in the high-tech electronics hardware sector . The focus of the lab is to support electronic hardware startups providing a facility to develop prototype electronic devices and prepare for production. Equipped with electronic test and prototyping equipment, not easily available to pre-revenue startup enterprises. Multiple engineering workstations, electromechanical design tools, a specialized solder station for surface mount technology and 3-D printing. Engineering tools and services will be available to members such as circuit design, 3-D modeling and 3-D printing, PCB prototyping and computer assisted engineering design tools. Training on all equipment will be available as well as selected business topics unique to electronic hardware startups.
