Laguna Blanca is an agricultural project molding historical farming techniques with modern ideas, shaping a new model in order to match food production with biodiversity care. Grasses, cereals, herbs, vegetables, orchards, woodlands, and livestock (sheep and laying hens) are among many of the agricultural products at Laguna Blanca. Additionally, nutrient management is accomplished through the production of thermophilic compost, vermicompost, compost teas and extracts, and a well-planned crop rotation system that incorporates abiotic and biotic factors such as soil profile and type, time of year, plant type, and root depth.Biodiversity is the keystone of Laguna Blanca – Beauty is a Duty. Therefore, this concept has been instilled in every aspect of the farm. There are 13 species of fruit trees, over 17 different crops, pastures with a mix of nine species of grasses, managed woodlands, and a diverse vegetable garden, though at the moment is only for consumption on the farm. The previous list is what's above ground; however, with the use of compost materials and liquid extracts from compost, a diversity of macro- and microorganisms can be achieved in the soil. Social care is given considerable attention. Laguna Blanca maintains safe conditions and clean facilities for all personnel. For several years now, a healthy relationship has been building between Laguna Blanca and the nearby town where most of the staff live.
