Financial Services - Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Estate Asset Research will professionally, efficiently and with no cost or reputational risk to the Issuer find inactive shareholders and beneficiaries and assist them with retrieving their unclaimed entitlements. Our service offerings are designed to be easily implemented and run without external micromanagement, be proactive in finding transient and deceased individuals and then proactively generating responses. EAR will pay particular attention to not only finding the lost/unknown/inactive shareholders but also then holding their hand through the claims process. The AR Services are provided in the following phases: Phase 1: Deceased Estates EAR will trace, locate and communicate with Executors of deceased estates across the share register and assist them to claim entitlements due to the beneficiaries. Phase 2: Foreign Holders The certificated holdings of immigrated shareholders have often been forgotten about and given the choice, a large percentage of these shareholders would prefer to sell their local shareholdings to obtain the monetary value thereof. However, as part of a value-add EAR will also assist the smaller percentage of individuals/entities, who still wish to trade on the local Stock Exchange, by introducing them to a local Stockbroker or Wealth Manager to manage their portfolios. Phase 3: Local Living Holders AR Services should only be offered to shareholders alive and living in South Africa if they have an unclaimed cash consideration/value associated to their shareholdings i.e. unclaimed dividends, scheme of arrangement payments. These shareholders should also be given the option to dematerialize their holdings into a broker/nominee to receive the benefits of having guidance and advise from professionals.
