Studio 19 Productions is a film production company dedicated to the exploration of the Fantastic Genre in Chile. In 2010 it is awarded in the USA by LUCASFILM, for the Sci-Fi short film "Renacimiento". From there, they've worked side by side with some of the greatest exponents of the narrative in the country, generating short digital works in various formats that have traveled Latin America and Europe, among other screens. In 2017, premiered in Mórbido-México their first feature film, "NIGHT", a Chilean fable about the end of the World starring Alejandro Trejo ("Taxi Para 3"), Carmen Disa ("La Pasión de Michelangelo") and Héctor Noguera ("Mr. Kaplan"). It received the Best Feature Film Award at the Insólito Festival Peru and the Best Ibero-American Direction at the emblematic Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre festival, the oldest of genre in Latin America. At the head of Estudio 19 are the Carrizo-Ortiz brothers; Inti (director, teacher and screenwriter with experience in Film, TV and digital media) and Arantza (graduate producer of Production at UCLA).Our goal is to develop a narrative that exposes the powerful clash between history and local reality under the magnifying glass of genre, in a constant struggle to promote the diversity of stories and create a strong link with the Chilean audience.
