The Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (ECCSA) is a not-for-profit, non-government, non-partisan organization which was established by Proclamation No. 321/2003 with a mandate to promote Ethiopia's products to the world, develop international trade and promote investment in Ethiopia, thereby fostering the development of a vibrant and dynamic private sector in the Country. ECCSA is also a strong advocate for the creation of better business environment by articulating the interests of the business community and acting as a bridge between the government and the private sector. It also takes the lead to improve the business environment and provide feedback to the government on the impediments facing the private sector. ECCSA is an apex organization of Chambers and Sectoral Associations in Ethiopia. It has eighteen members including nine Regional Chambers of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, two City Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, one National Chamber Sectoral Associations and six Sectoral Associations organized at national level.
