Founded in 1991, Eurocypria Airlines was the first Cyprus-based charter airline. Following ten successful years in charter operations, in 2001, Eurocypria Airlines started operating scheduled services as well, from/to the island of Cyprus. With the full accession of Cyprus in the EU in May 2004, the scheduled services have been enhanced and Eurocypria has further extended its operations, establishing a base in the Greek island of Crete. In addition, during the winter months, Eurocypria also operates flights from Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh) and Poland (Warsaw).
