Profile The association forms the European umbrella body of national people management organisations. We represent more than 250,000 professionals in over 30 countries. We share a commitment to the value of professional people management and corresponding associations. This commitment is to support the development and performance of people, companies and societies. We are a purely professional, non-profit organisation independent of all employers, trade unions, state or political bodies. The EAPM seeks to promote and develop knowledge of personnel issues, personnel activities, and their importance to industry, commerce and both public and private sector administration. EAPM is persuing the goal of improving the quality of HR management and developing and improving professional standards. Our members are deeply and directly involved with the implementation of the reforms of labour markets, and have to cope with globalization and ageing of the population. EAPM promotes strong leadership and the exchange of best practises in Europe. EAPM stimulates through its exchange programs, conferences and Europe wide surveys and reports, health and safety at work, training and development of employees and the workforce, becoming learning organizations, managing talent and diversity in all its forms. Human Resources plays a pivotal role. It is the link between organization's long term strategy and its people strategy. Since 2007 EAPM has launched several in-depth studies and surveys both in Europe and as partner in global projects. EAPM is one of the regional members of the World Federation of People Management Associations (www.WFPMA.org).
