European Association for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Details
The European Association has initiated an integrated approach for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (EAVPT) in consideration of a growing demand for veterinary specialists in national veterinary services (private or governmental), in (industrial) research and development of veterinary medicinal products and in the frame of the European harmonization of drug legislation and post-marketing control systems (pharmacovigilance/toxicovigilance). The latter research association (EAVPT) was founded in 1978 with the aim to stimulate fundamental and applied research with special emphasis on comparative aspects and target animal variability in the kinetic and dynamic response to medicinal products and toxicants.
