European Food Banks Federation - FEBA Details
Founded in 1986, the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) is a non-profit organization which brings together 335 Food Banks and branches, with members in 24 countries and associate members in 5 countries in Europe. They recover surplus food, a large part of which would otherwise be thrown away, and redistribute it to charitable organizations and social centers taking care of people in need. In 2020, FEBA Food Banks redistributed 860,000 tons of food to 12.8 million deprived people through 48,126 charities and thanks to the professionalism of 37,016 co-workers (85% volunteers).
