Political Organization - Copenhagen, Capital Region of Denmark, Denmark
European Horizons at KU is a chapter at the University of Copenhagen that's a part of the international studentled organisation European Horizons. European Horizons is a global network of university students that was founded in 2015 at Yale University. With 60+ active student chapters in Europe, North America and Asia, and with support from the EU Commission, European Horizons guarantees yearly conferences and events all over the world. European Horizons at KU is an unpolitical student organisation, where we disagree a lot, but agree in the fact that international problems can only be solved by including the next generation in coming up with the international solutions in an international forum. Therefore, we will facilitate debates, publish research and host other events with the purpose of putting European cooperation on the agenda. Through this, we wish to nuance the debate around the EU in Denmark. We want the younger generation to have a bigger impact on the future of Europe, and simultaneously raise awareness among students about KU's and Denmark's role in the international system. Our organisation consists of both EU federalists and strong EU critics, because we believe that combining disagreement and enthusiasm create nuanced, sustainable and inspiring visions for Europe.
