The European Institute for International Studies (EIIS) is an organization with a mission of undertaking research and activities in areas of global governance, public diplomacy, international relations and economic policy, thus providing academic research and programs to serve key decision makers from the public and private sectors. It also offers an independent forum for dialogue among international organizations, foreign ministries and academic institutions, effectively supporting the development of mutually beneficial solutions for key issues. Furthermore, the Institute offers academic programs with the aim of forming future leaders. The EIIS prides itself on being a founding member of the Euro-Americas Consortium, a joint initiative in which more than 30 universities and academic institutions from all over Europe and the Americas collaborate. The Consortium has developed a variety of master programs and seminars with the objective of offering an integral education for positive action in the public and private sector, while prioritizing the core values of democracy and human rights. Since 2014, Permanent Ambassador of Spain, His Excellency Dr. Antonio Núñez García-Sauco, assumed the Presidency of the Institute, adding valuable new insights to the Institute's vision based on his vast experience in the Spanish Foreign Ministry and on his roles as a high-ranking official in different international institutes, such as the United Nations Office for Disarmament, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, among many others.
