European Youth Parliament Croatia (EYPC) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization whose aim is encouraging youth to take active part in social processes. It was founded in 1994 as one of the national committees of the European Youth Parliament (EYP), which is a unique forum for youth and one of its largest platforms for political debate, intercultural dialogue and exchange of ideas in Europe. By simulating the committee work procedure of the European Parliament, our organisation gives young Europeans the opportunity to actively participate in the shaping of their shared future. In the European Parliament, our resolutions enjoy the status of youth advisory opinions.EYP has traditionally enjoyed the patronage of the President of the European Parliament, and since 2009 it also enjoys the patronage of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. On the European level, the work of the organisation is coordinated by the Heinz Schwarzkopf Foundation of Berlin. Since 1994, the activities of EYPC have brought together more than 2,000 high school and university students at national and international sessions. EYP brings together thousands of young Europeans through its znational committees in 33 countries.
