EuropeCouncil is the division of NCH (Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion) that is jointly established by NCH and the Foundation 4Days for Europe. The two central objectives of EuropeCouncil are to promote trade relations and investments in Europe and among European countries and to facilitate a substantive dialogue about Europe in transition.As various Board Members of EuropeCouncil stated:‘Since the Dutch economy is for the most part dependent on the European intra trade and investments, we need a strong "a fortiori" focus on these. EuropeCouncil will therefore fulfill an intermediary role within Europe and will be focused on strengthening Europe in the power play with the emerging economies. Focused on internal coordination within Europe and on European cooperation without losing sight of the position of Europe in the bigger picture; indeed; by strongly playing into this!'(Jochum Haakma, President EuropeCouncil)‘EuropeCouncil is increasingly invited to accompany delegations from abroad as a division of the NCH, not only from China and Russia, but also more and more from the EU. Nearly half of all investments in Europe involve intra-European investments, cross-border investments by European companies. EuropeCouncil is the designated platform to accompany these projects for the purpose of more employment, capital and tax revenues from other European countries.
