Eurovoetbal is a well known international youth football tournament in Groningen. It hosted many famous clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus, Sporting Lisbon, Bayern München, Werder Bremen, Schalke 04, Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, FC Groningen, Bayern München, Anderlecht, Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, IFK Gothenburg, Flamengo, Boca Juniors, and many others.It was first organized in 1977. The home stadium is 'de Esserberg' in Haren, close to Groningen. Besides opening matches have been played in the stadiums from FC Groningen, sc Heerenveen, Cambuur Leeuwarden, FCTwente and FC Emmen.
